The Pipe Fitter will be a skilled plumber / steamfitter with experience in comparable industrial and/or laboratory process environments with experience installing, servicing and repairing complex piping systems using specialized tools, techniques and in unusually complex operating environments.
Perform work assignments involving fabricating, laying out, assembling, erecting, installing, servicing, maintaining, repairing, and dismantling of piping systems including refrigeration & air conditioning, pipe railings, pipe racks and the making of hangers, supports, etc. associated with both facility and equipment maintenance, repair and projects
Provide support on technical aspects of job planning, material requirements, and sequencing of tasks
Plan and execute jobs keeping with plant health, safety and environmental compliance requirements
Interface effectively with other trades, staff and visitors.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to lift / push / pull 50 pounds repeatedly and frequently
Ability and willingness to lift, climb and work in elevated spaces and extreme temperatures
Ability and willingness to work outdoors
Ability and willingness to work overtime, as required
Ability and willingness to work occasional weekend shifts, as required
Ability and willingness to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
