Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Production Associate is responsible for a variety of different production duties.
The position must have high attention to detail and work at a fast pace in order to meet their key performance indicators safely and accurately.
Priorities of the role include personal and team safety, food safety, and product quality.
Shift times and activities vary depending on operational needs.
Environments is fast paced and teamwork oriented.
Duties & Responsibilities May Include Any Of The Following, and May Differ According to Line Assignment:
Load raw materials onto cooking equipment.
Process cooked material to specifications as directed.
Inspect product for quality defects along the production line.
Place finished goods into cases or cartons.
Place finished cases onto pallets.
Perform rework when needed using a scale for accuracy.
Adjust and fill machines and equipment as needed.
Participate in continuous improvement process.
Perform sanitation of the equipment and production areas if assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Have reliable and regular transportation and attendance.
Quality & Food Safety Requirements:
Comply with all USDA, FDA, regulationsUnderstand and perform all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)Report all Food Safety concerns immediately to your Team LeaderBe aware of all safety guidelines (including by not limited to:
LOTO, HazCom Chemical Handling, Confined Spaces, PPE), and maintain a safe working environment.
RequirementsEducation and ExperienceNo prior experience needed, however, previous food manufacturing experience a plus.
Experience working in a fast-paced team atmosphere is preferred.
Skills and AbilitiesAble to stand and walk on concrete for up to 12 hours.
Able to lift up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Able to ascend or descend stairs and ramps.
Able to work in temperatures ranging from 30 - 100 Fahrenheit or above for an extended period.
Able to perform repetitive tasks for up to 12 hours with constant hand and wrist movement.
Availability to work flexible hours as requiredMust be able to work in a facility that contains food allergensMust be able to communicate in English or Spanish, or follow instructions with the assistance of a translator.

Must be able to comply with GMP, Food Safety, and Company policies.

Working Environment and Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
The employee is required to stand and walk during the entire shift.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
