Support Staff Description & RequirementsWe are accepting applications for a Full-Time Veterinary Barn Assistant.
Job responsibilities include cleaning stalls, feeding and watering equine patients, cleaning water buckets, troughs, and facilities, completing general maintenance of our facilities, and maintaining a high level of communication between hospital leaders and barn staff.
The ideal candidate would be hard-working, reliable, a team player, and would have previous experience in a similar position.
Qualified applicants should be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license and a reliable source of transportation, be able to lift 50lbs or more, and willing to undergo a background check.
Preference will be given to individuals who have experience operating general farm equipment (e.
g.
, tractor) and have previous horse experience.
For candidates with prior horse experience, please include your equine background in your resume or within a separate cover letter.
