Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team.
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process and ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and effectively.
Your role will involve supervising a team of production workers, monitoring production schedules, and implementing quality control measures.
Essential Duties/
Responsibilities:
? Plan and manage the daily operation of assigned department(s), including the daily management and maintenance of staffing levels (direct/contract) and budget accountability to accomplish plant objectives in an effective and efficient manner ? Provide necessary training and reinforcement to workforce to ensure they understand and can apply the skills required to produce quality products according to Greene, Tweed and customer requirements; ? Administer Company rules, regulations & safety policies, initiating and recommending corrective actions; ? Provide direction, and strength of Leadership, initiating communication and working cross functionally across all levels, collaborating between shifts/departments on a consistent basis.
Addresses issues and maintains availability to operators to answer questions as required; ? Actively analyze department performance against metrics and identify opportunity for continuous improvement.
Creates, posts and communicates to ensure everyone understands their role in achieving plant commitments; ? Guide workforce in the compliance to Standard Work, recommends improvements in Work Instructions, methods, processes, policies and equipment and ensures operators are informed Required Minimum Qualifications Education/Certifications:
? HS Diploma/GED required; Preference given to candidates with BS Degree ? Lean/Six Sigma certification desired Skills and
Experience:
? 5 years of previous manufacturing experience, including exposure to leading/directing the work of others; Ideal candidate will have 3 years' direct supervision experience in a manufacturing environment ? Previous experience in a Lean manufacturing environment, focused on continuous improvement and High Performance Work teams desired ? Demonstrated ability to lead by example, serving as a positive role model to others and embracing standard work required ? Strong communication skills required, including the ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels in the organization.
? Metric driven/analytical problem solving experience required - root cause analysis/six sigma training a plus Job Type:
